Neighborhood

The "Eilandje" district is the oldest port area in Antwerp and is surrounded by water. Today the port activity is more concentrated in the north, but the port feeling still dominates here. Taste the old atmosphere of the unloading quay with monumental warehouses, lanterns, hangars and cobblestones. For good food, you can undoubtedly find something in one of the many and various eateries in the area. The historic city center is a 20-30 minute walk, where there is an even greater range of food and drink, shopping, entertainment and culture. The MAS | Museum aan de Stroom, the Red Star Line Museum and the Port House are not to be missed in the immediate vicinity, and underline the connection between the city and the water.

This 4-person loft-style apartment of 100 m2 (1075 sq ft) has everything you need. Due to the open loft style, there are no doors to the bedrooms. The bathroom and toilet do have doors with complete privacy. The fully installed open kitchen has a dishwasher, gas stove, refrigerator, Nespresso machine with capsules, kettle and toaster. The living/dining room has a 6-person dining table, large sofa & smart TV with Netflix. The first bedroom has a double bed (180x200 cm) and a smart TV. The second bedroom has a double bed (160x200 cm) and a large wardrobe. The bathroom features a walk-in shower and a 2 sinks. There is also a separate toilet. There are 2 balconies as well.

🚧Nearby works may cause noise between 7:00 and 16:00 on weekdays. No works on weekends or official public holidays. Maximum 4 guests. Only registered guests allowed. € 40 per extra guest per night applies. Unauthorized guests may result in immediate termination without refund.

Nous avons tout aimé de cet appartement original, propre central ( nous avons tout visité à pied, il faut aimer marcher mais c’est faisable la grande place, la veille ville, les halles la gare…) mais il y a aussi le tram au pied de l’immeuble ainsi que des commerces Hannes est très réactive, réponds très vite à nos questions et donne de bons conseils ! Merci on reviendra c’est sur ! Séjour trop court ;)

Hannes’ apartment is great, exactly as described and the photographs give an accurate impression. Hannes’ instructions for finding the apartment, parking and check in were clear and straightforward. The apartment was spotless and in a great location; it took us 20 minutes to walk to the train station. There is a supermarket, bakeries, bars and restaurants nearby, plus Hannes’ excellent recommendations in a handy guest book in the apartment. All communication with Hannes was great. This is a really lovely apartment, Hannes is indeed a super host - I would highly recommend staying here! Thank you, Hannes, we had a great time.

Die Wohnung ist sehr schick eingerichtet, sodas man sich direkt wohl fühlt. Die Tiefgarage ist nicht weit von der Wohnung entfernt und bietet für das Auto ausreichend Platz. Die Lage der Wohnung ist Super und etwas abgelegen von der Hauptstraße. Das ist ganz praktisch weil man dadurch seine Koffer entspannt in die Wohnung bringen kann und beim Abreisen entspannt in das Fahrzeug verladen kann ohne viel weit schleppen zu müssen.

We had an amazing stay! The location was perfect, the apartment had all the amenities listed and Hannes was very proactive and responsive. Favourite part was how clean the apartment was. Dishes, cutlery - everything was on spot. The place is only 30 min walk from the city centre and very accessible.

Off-street parking in an underground parking is available, where you can park for free during your stay. It's only a 2 min walk from the apartment. There's a light rail / tram stop just a 5 min walk from the apartment. From Antwerpen Centraal train station you can reach the apartment by tram (20 min), by taxi (10-15 min) or on foot (30 min). There are bike stations of "Velo Antwerp" in the immediate vicinity (day and week tickets can be purchased online) and are a convenient way to get through the city quickly. I recommend this above car or public transport, it is usually the fastest with a healthy dose of exercise for free. For more info, search the Internet for "Velo Antwerp". Another way to get around the city is using the hip new Bird scooters. You can cover short distances quickly with these electric scooter-shares. Of course, you can also explore the surroundings of the "Eilandje" on foot, and the historic city center is easily accessible on foot (2 km, 20-30 minutes).
